Making money online is a bit like the American dream. You can get there through hard work, determination and initiative. A lot of “gurus” advertise their products as this get rich quick miracle, but that unfortunately doesn’t exist. It is just hype.
Several reasons crop up time and again why people don’t make money online. Let’s take a look at them, eliminate them and put better systems in place. Here we go…….
You need the right mindset. Read personal development books, go to seminars, watch webinars, and do things that get you into a positive frame of mind. Sitting in front of the TV crying because you don’t have money will never work. I’ve tried it :>
Find a mentor that has done it all before. It is much easier to copy success than to try and reinvent the wheel. Buy their product, ask them questions and pick their brains. Just make sure they are the real deal. Read up on them, look for testimonials and ask around on forums. Find a system that works and use it!
You shouldn’t have a crappy attitude. Complaining about everything is not going to work. Control what you can and don’t worry about all the other things. Put in the long hours, do your due diligence and everything else will fall in place. Focus on the controllables not the uncontrollables.
Apply more than you learn. For every hour that you learn, you should apply it for three hours. This will improve your skills much faster and you will not suffer from information overload. There is too much information out there, find one strategy and master it, only then you should move to a next one. This will save you hours of frustration. Trial and error is the best way to learn this business.
Focus on one traffic source when you start out. You can spread yourself thin very quickly when it comes to traffic. You will never achieve the results you are looking for if you try to master all the traffic methods. I can’t be more serious about this; focus on ONE traffic source when you start out. Once you have that under control , then move on to the next one. Don’t suffer from shiny object syndrome. Don’t buy every new program that promise you the world. There’s a new “revolutionary” product every month, so you can’t win this battle. Find a product that you believe in and stick with it a 100%.
Be consistent. This business is like a snowball, you start small and the more consistent you are the bigger it will get quicker. Focus for instance just on blogging. Blog every day, focus on good content and get your posts out there via social media or by any means necessary. It will take some time, but things will fall in place I promise you. Keep your focus and be consistent.
